Take Back the Night 2024

La Frontera-Empact is hosting, in partnership with the ASU Sexual and Relationship Violence Program, its annual Take Back the Night event to raise awareness about domestic and sexual violence.  This event is free and open to the public.

Congratulations to the new ACVS Vice Chair, Jacqueline Lopez!

The ACVS membership elected Jacqueline Lopez, Senior Victim Advocate with the Pinal County Attorney’s Office, as the new ACVS Vice Chair for the 2024-2025 term. Jacqueline has been with PCAO since 2001 working a variety of cases to include high-profile and conflict cases as well as serving as the restitution advocate, working as the county Victim Compensation Coordinator for two years, and serving on a number of taskforces and committees. ACVS welcomes Jacqueline to the Excutive Committee!

AVAA’s Mobile Advocacy Training Program

ACVS proudly presents a unique training program called the Mobile Advocacy Training program.  The goal of the program is to provide free training for agencies unable to attend traditional training.  An agency can request training to come to its area and train advocates, staff and allied professionals.  The trainings vary in length by topic.
