Become a Victims’ Rights Outreach Coordinator with the Attorney General’s Office of Victim Services!

The Attorney General’s Office of Victim Services is hiring a Victims’ Rights Outreach Coordinator. A management level position within the Attorney General’s Office, the State Victims’ Rights Outreach Coordinator serves as one of five professionals reporting to the OVS Director. Overall, the Coordinator is responsible for accomplishing strategic planning goals related to the execution of statewide programs enacted to support the victims’ rights education to law enforcement, custodial, prosecutorial, court and correctional agencies in Arizona, including the Attorney General’s own victim services program.

The employee will produce the means for local and state agency practitioners and advocates at all levels of government to: 1) achieve a factual and practical understanding of victims’ rights provisions and the responsibilities incumbent upon governmental entities for carrying out those provisions, 2) develop the tools necessary to implement compatible and unified procedures for complying with common victims’ rights duties, 3) receive “day-to-day” help with administering victims’ rights programs, 4) request on-site assistance with victims’ rights program administration, and 5) receive regular briefings on victims’ rights issues.

The position will also enhance the ability of governmental agencies to comply with victims’ rights laws by evaluating victims’ services provided by VRP recipient agencies through comprehensive audits and reviews.

This position is open until filled and could be located out of Tucson, although statewide travel is required.
